The majority of companies and organisations now prioritise CPD obligations because they ensure a constantly developing workforce. For employers, CPD promotes greater work engagement and general commitment to job roles, as well as contributing to maximising staff potential, improving staff moral and providing a useful benchmark for annual appraisals.

For employees, CPD helps them keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date and ensures that the professional standard of their qualifications and registrations are maintained. It also contributes to their professional sense of direction and individual job satisfaction, builds confidence and credibility, and is beneficial for career progression and advancement.
